Dr. Keith Jacobson is board certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He specializes in trauma and reconstruction of the foot and ankle in adults and pediatrics. He joined Advanced Orthopedics after spending 10 years in private practice in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Jacobson is a graduate of Western Michigan University where he received a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1997 from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. After completing a one-year primary podiatric medical residency at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, he then completed a two-year foot and ankle surgical residency at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Jacobson currently serves on the committee for the computer-based exam for the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also on the surgical skills committee for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons while participating as a clinical instructor/lecturer for many of the Colleges courses. Dr. Jacobson has been a consultant for Depuy Orthopaedics since 2005. He had been actively involved in the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program as an attending and committee member from 2000 to 2011.
Dr. Jacobson and his wife have a son and daughter. His wife, Tanya, was raised in Aurora and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. His greatest passion besides his family includes friends, golf, hockey and the great outdoors.
